The second joint meeting of the Home and School Association and the Education Committee of the Board of Trustees will be held on Tuesday, February 10, from 8:35 to 10:00 a.m. in the McCarthey Campus parlor. It will be led by Director of Curriculum and Instruction Wendell Thomas and Associate Head of School Jennifer Blake who will introduce examples of the school's second goal of the Strategic Plan: Provide the Intermountain West's most outstanding math and science program.

Several Rowland Hall teachers and administrators will talk about the work they are currently doing and how the Strategic Plan will help us be even stronger in math and science.

Wendell Thomas and Carol Blackwell will talk about building blocks mathematics for children ages three through eight; Kirsten Walker, Lower School science specialist, and two other Lower School teachers will talk about how attending the National Science Teachers Association conference has given them new ideas to make science even more integral to their division; Christian Waters, our director of technology integration will talk about the week of code and coding activities in the Middle School; and you, will hear about the exciting new science electives that will be offered in the Upper School in 2015-2016.
