On May 1st at 7:00pm, Rowland Hall students will present a concert titled “Vivaldi by Candlelight.” It will feature orchestras from the lower, middle, and upper school, as well as Cantabile, the upper school choir.  The concert will be held in the intimate St. Margaret’s Chapel at the McCarthey Campus on Guardsman Way.

On the program are four masterworks by Vivaldi featuring collaborative ensembles: Concerto in A major, Concerto in D Minor, Concerto in B Minor, and Gloria. Smaller ensembles will perform other works by Haydn, Fitzgerald, and contemporary composers. Student soloists will be featured on many of the pieces, many accompanied by a harpsichord provided by the Utah Symphony.

Jeremy Innis, the upper and middle school music director, with Teresa Hicks, Utah Symphony violinist and orchestra director for the lower school, are happy to welcome Kate Waltman and the Madeleine Choir School orchestra to perform on a number of pieces with the fine young musicians of Rowland Hall.
