Rowland Hall is Utah’s oldest coeducational college-preparatory school, founded in 1867.

Two urban campuses serve 1,000 students from preschool (age 2) through grade 12.

Four divisions: Beginning School (2PreK-K), Lower School (grades 1-5), Middle School (grades 6-8), and Upper School (grades 9-12).

Student-teacher ratio is 10:1; average class size 14 students.

Full liberal arts curriculum plus art, music, drama, dance, service learning, technology, physical education, and interfaith chapel.

Advanced Placement classes offered in 17 test areas.

Our academic calendar operates on a trimester system with the first trimester ending in December, second ending in March, third ending in June.

Competitive in 10 sports and designated the Deseret News State 2A School of the Year 2007-2008 with State Championships in girls’ soccer, boys’ soccer, boys’ golf, girls’ tennis, and boys’ tennis.

Rowmark Ski Academy, a department of the Upper School, facilitates elite ski racing training and competition for approximately 25 Rowland Hall athletes.

Nearly 20 percent of the student body represents diverse ethnic, national and racial backgrounds.

Rowland Hall is a non-profit organization governed by a board of trustees consisting of school parents, alumni, and friends.

Every parent is a member of the school’s parent-teacher association, known as Home and School, which provides a vital link between the school and its parent body.

Annual financial aid budget of $1.5 million supports 18 percent of the student body.

Traditionally the largest percentage of National Merit Semifinalists of any Utah school.
