Donate Unused Paper If you have unused paper at your home or work place, we are eager to reuse it in our classrooms. Teachers are very creative reusing paper that might otherwise be recycled or discarded, i.e. discontinued letterhead, outdated forms, etc. Thank you for thinking of us. Extended Openings We currently have openings in all sessions of our Extended Program. If you are interested in signing up for either permanent or drop in slots, please check with Janet.

Green Cup Challenge The 2010 Green Cup Challenge begins Monday, January 25 and lasts until February 22. As you may remember from last year, the Green Cup Challenge is a student-driven, interschool energy competition that will have us competing against more than 122 schools across the United States, and six within our region of Utah and Colorado. During this time we will try and reduce our use of electricity, with a goal of a 5% further reduction over 2008-2009 numbers. (Last year we decreased our usage by nearly 20%, resulting in a $1,400 savings for the 29 day period of the competition.) We have our records for the past three years to measure our progress, and we will have scoreboards in public spaces of each campus to mark our weekly consumption.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions. I will keep you updated on our progress throughout the competition. Mary Jacquin, Sustainability Consultant
