General Information
Open House Information:
The admission offices have added the OPEN DOOR events this year. They are informal, drop-in events during which guests will be paired with a current parent for an individual or small group tour of the school. Administrators will be on-hand for follow-up questions. The LS OPEN DOOR will be held on Tuesday, January 26th from 9:00- 11:00 and is designed for prospective parents with children who would be entering 1st through 5th grades in the 2010 fall.

We encourage current parents to attend the LS Open House in the evening on Thursday, February 11th from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. This event offers a perfect opportunity for parents to learn about the curriculum for their child's next school year from the teachers.  The event begins with introductory remarks at 6:30 pm, however current parents should arrive at 7:00 pm for the teacher panel presentations. If you would like to attend, we would appreciate an email or phone RSVP: maryannewetzel@rowlandhall.org or 801-924-2985.

ERB Standardized Test Results:

The ERB testing results have arrived. During the second week in November, fourth and fifth grade students took standardized tests known as ERBs from the Comprehensive Testing Program, published by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). It is important for parents to know how to interpret their child's individual testing profile and to understand how the school uses the testing data. We ask fourth grade parents to attend a 20-minute ERB presentation to pick up their child's test results. Fourth grade test results are not mailed home. The presentations in the Lower School Parlor will be conducted on three upcoming occasions:
1.     Thursday, January 28 at 12:00 noon
2.     Thursday, January 28 at 7:00 pm
3.     Friday, January 29 at 8:00 am
Parents of fifth grade students are encouraged to attend the presentations, particularly if your child is new to Rowland Hall. All fifth grade test results that have not been picked up at one of the presentations will be mailed home Friday, February 8.

Parking:
Parking in the north lot is reserved for Beginning School families who escort their children into school, and the spaces are very limited. To help with traffic congestion we ask that Lower School parents without Beginning School students use either the east drop off zone or the south parking lot.  Thank you for your understanding and support.
