1st Grade:
As part of our social science curriculum, the fourth grade
will be traveling to the state capitol. We will have a tour of the
newly renovated building and watch the legislature in action from the
gallery. Please make sure your child is wearing his/her best uniform
on that day! Thank you.First graders can bring in their favorite Dr. Seuss books to read on Tuesday, March 2nd in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. The first grade is collecting towels, newspapers, paper towels, and dog/cat treats for the Humane Society of Utah as part of our service learning. Please bring in donations by Monday, March 6th. 4th Grade: Erika & Rebecca's classes go on Fri. March 5th, 8:30-11:30
Puberty
Education (maturation) is scheduled for April 1st, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Parents must attend with their child or make arrangements with Nurse
Shirley for your child to attend with another adult. 5th Grade: Puberty Education (maturation) is scheduled for March 31st and April 14th, 3:30-5:00 p.m. Please note, the second day, originally scheduled for April 7, has been moved one week later, to April 14. Extended: The Extended Spring Trimester registration form is available online, the main reception area and the Extended office. The deadline for specialty class registration is April 2, space is limited and is given on a first-come, first-served basis. New for Spring Trimester: SHORT N' SNAPPY - Workshops that last two - three classes. These include: "Families, Fables and Folklore" taught by Dawn Floodman, professional storyteller. "Puppetry taught by Coralle Leue, The Puppet Players. (Descriptions of these workshops are in the spring registration form) New specialty classes for Spring Trimester: *Roots & Shoots taught by Mary Jacquin Director of sustainability. This program is about making positive change happen - for our communities, for animals and for the environment. The program is guided by the founding principles and vision of Dr. Jane Goodall. *Yoga Fun taught by Amy Conn. This class is filled with fun, learning mantras and chants, games and poses. * Guitar taught by Camille Nelson. One-half hour lessons available Monday - Thursday. and many more.... | Home and School: Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week is coming!!! This April 12th-16th, we will be celebrating our amazing RHSM Faculty and Staff!! There are plenty of opportunities to participate in showing our gratefulness for all they do during this time. Starting Monday, March 1st, we will begin to collect goods and services for our raffle which will take place during the Faculty breakfast on Tuesday, April 13th. Be creative! Gift certificates (restaurants, spas, Blockbuster, coffee shops, any and all), sporting tickets, flowers and/or potted plants (to be enjoyed throughout the week and then raffled) are wonderful ideas. Everything is so appreciated! Donations can be dropped off at the Lower School front desk with Carol Collard, or you can contact Eliza Hill. And if you are interested in volunteering or being
