All-School News & Reminders

The January 25 Lincoln Campus Choir and Orchestra Concert have been cancelled and will be rescheduled for later in the year. There were just too many conflicts and students with injuries to make it viable now. I will let everyone know as soon as I have a new date. Contact Kathy Wight if you have any questions.

The National Geographic Bee will be held Wednesday, January 13th, in room 201 of the Middle School. (Ms. Miller's room) The Geography Bee will begin at 3:45 and go until 5:00ish and is open to all 5th through 8th grade students. This is the school wide competition and the winner will take a test to determine if they qualify for the state competition held in April. Parents are allowed to watch if they like or they can come back to pick up their children. This is a great opportunity to have fun with your knowledge of geography.

MathCounts - I want to thank Sasha Uchitel's family for providing our snack this week.  Next Tuesday we will have a practice for the school competition which will be held during our usual Tuesday afternoon sessions on January 19th and 26th.  Emily Sundquist has graciously volunteered to bring our snack next Tuesday, January 12th

Attention Middle School Girls

All middle school girls who want to participate in Softball this year, please bring your gloves next week! 5th grade visits to Middle School:
There will be a brown bag lunch for parents from 11:45 to 12:45 on Friday, January 29 in Middle school lounge. More information about Middle School can be found on the website.
6th Grade Updates

6th Grade Latin (Till):
Students will have a vocabulary quiz on Lesson 4 on Tuesday, January 12.  Be sure to learn the vocabulary in your books for Lesson Four.

7th Grade Updates
7th Grade Latin (Till):  Students will have a comprehensive test on Chapters 1-4 beginning on Wednesday, January 13 and ending on Thursday, January 14.  There will also be a skills quiz on 1st and 2nd declension endings on Monday or Tuesday. Students should be prepared for the quiz on either of those days.  Please bring your books and binders to class everyday.
 
8th Grade Updates
8th Grade Latin (Till): Students will have a test on Chapter 15 on Thursday, January 14. There will also be a skills quiz on 3rd declension i-stem adjectives next week. Students should be prepared to take this quiz on any day before Thursday. Please bring your books and binders to class everyday.
