Region Solo and Ensemble Event for Music to be held at Rowland Hall. On Tuesday, Feb. 16, we are hosting the Region Solo and Ensemble competition involving the six schools in our Region. This is a teacher inservice day so the students do not have classes that day; however, all choir members and string students in the Upper School are aware that they are expected to be here to participate and to assist in hosting duties. I also need a few parents who are willing to act as hosts for a couple of hours that day. Hosts will act as guides for the visiting schools, runners for the judges, and time and recordkeepers for each event. The time for the competition is approximately 10am-3pm, and students and parents may help for an hour or more anytime during that time frame. The choir members will compete between 1:00pm and 2:00pm, the strings players between 12:30pm and 2:30pm. Parents who wish to help should email Kathy Wight atkathywight@rowlandhall.org as soon as possible. SPRING UPPER SCHOOL ATHLETIC TEAM PARENT MEETING INFORMATION MANDATORY PARENT MEETINGS for Upper School baseball, boys' soccer, softball, girls' golf and boys' tennis team parents have been established as follows. Coaches use the time to discuss philosophy, policies, team rules and other pertinent information, as well as using it as avenue to answer parent questions regarding the activity. At least one parent MUST attend the meeting in order that their son or daughter can compete for Rowland Hall. If your son or daughter is planning to participate in one of these sports programs this spring, please mark your calendar accordingly. If you are absolutely unable to attend the scheduled meeting, you must then set up a one on one appointment with the coach to go over information discussed in the parent meeting before your son or daughter can participate in a contest. Please contact the coach of the team (Baseball: Ben Voegele; Boys' Soccer: Bobby Kennedy; Softball: Kathy Howa; Boys' Tennis, Tim Sleeper; Girls' Golf, JZ Davis) if you need further information.
