Mission

The Eccles Library, located on the Lincoln Street Campus, is the primary information resource center for all Middle School and Upper school students and faculty.

We are committed to supporting Rowland Hall’s mission by facilitating academic excellence and lifelong learning. We strive to inform, enrich and empower every person in our school community by creating easy access to a vast array of print and online resources, teaching students to skillfully evaluate information critically, and facilitating a genuine love of reading.

In keeping with this mission, the Eccles Library seeks to:

  • Maintain a pleasant, user-oriented learning environment for students and classes.
  • Acquire and organize books, magazines, and other relevant materials for all subjects and interests.
  • Develop the technical infrastructure and online environment, resources and database services for Rowland Hall members learning on and off campus.
  • Support the instructional, research, and curriculum needs of the faculty and staff.
  • Promote and facilitate co-curricular events with authors, poets, teachers, and other important community members.
  • Reach out to all members of our Rowland Hall community with care and assistance.

The purpose of the Eccles Library portion of the website is to ensure a constant connection to the Eccles Library and provide access to quality information resources to support learning for the entire school community 24/7.
