Middle School

Extracurricular

The Middle School experience goes far beyond the core academic program. A host of athletic, artistic, and leadership opportunities foster growth of the whole child.

Athletics

Student athletes compete in the Wasatch Athletic Conference and can be three season athletes in boys' and girls' sports. Team philosophy, drills, and game strategy are ultimately led by the Upper School Varsity coaches, creating a streamlined grade six through twelve athletic program. The Middle School is proud of an athletic program that welcomes players of all abilities, yet consistently wins league and tournament titles each year.

Arts

Whether the student is a burgeoning artist still exploring their talents, or someone deeply invested in the technique and rehearsal process, the Middle School Arts program provides the depth and breadth of experience to meet the needs of its students. Led by faculty who are themselves professional actors, dancers, painters, and musicians, the students' experience is steeped in developing the confidence and skills to excel in whichever art form they prefer.

Leadership

The Middle School Student Council connects students to real leadership issues facing our community. From vetting proposed changes to the daily academic schedule, to giving feedback on electronics fair-use policies, to reviewing business bids from low-sugar vending machine companies, our Student Council works closely with their mentor teacher and the principal to strengthen their experience in wrestling with serious issues and finding serious solutions.
