Biography:

Bethany Stephensen joined the Rowland Hall kindergarten team in 2016, shortly after she earned a master’s degree in early childhood education from the University of North Dakota. Bethany also attended Mount Holyoke College for her bachelor’s degree in history. Bethany has over 10 years of experience in early childhood education in Portland, ME, and at Salt Lake City’s Jewish Community Center. She has served as an America Reads classroom tutor and an assistant dance instructor at the University of Utah’s Tanner Dance Program. Bethany has two young sons at Rowland Hall and enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with her family while finding good food, treats, and coffee along the way.

Bethany was the recipient of the Beginning School's 2024 Sumner/Larsen Excellence in Teaching Faculty Award.
