Faculty & Staff Profile

Samara joined the Rowland Hall community in 2016 as an Extended Day counselor at the Lower School. She has had the privilege of following the students she has worked with, as she moved to work at the Middle School and then the Upper School, where she now works as an administrative assistant and advisor.

Outside of Rowland Hall, Samara spends her time in the summer growing and selling lavender with Lawtonwood Lavender, a business she founded with her mother. She is passionate about singing, playing guitar, gardening, and marveling at the beauty of nature this world has to offer. She is originally from Seattle, which she visits at least once a year. She now lives with her husband, Robert, and their speed sloth, Echo (also known as a land squid, but most commonly referred to as a dog), in Millcreek.
