Faculty & Staff Profile

Kerrie Smith
Kerrie joined the Rowland Hall community in September 2018 after relocating to Salt Lake City from Dallas. Ready for cooler summers and fresh mountain air, she and her husband moved westward to explore the great outdoors. Prior to joining Rowland Hall, Kerrie worked in college counseling and admissions for over 10 years.
Kerrie spent the majority of her life as an East Coaster: she's a New York native and lived in the Boston area for years with her family. But relocating and exploring new cities is nothing new to Kerrie—she and her husband have also lived in Sydney and Singapore. In the latter, she worked as the assistant director at the US Education Information Center and educated local students about the college application process and what it's like to attend a US university.
Kerrie is a member of the Association of Independent School Admission Professionals and attained the Certified Admission and Enrollment Management Professional (CAEP) certificate, the industry's recognition of admission best practices. She completed her undergraduate degree at Fairfield University with a BA in psychology. When not meeting new families through the Admission Office, you might find Kerrie traveling, exploring the city, cooking, golfing, or enjoying the beautiful outdoors with her husband, two grown children, and their chocolate Lab, Gidget.
