Cheryl Chen
MS, Learning Experience Design and Educational Technology, WGU
Cheryl joined the fourth-grade team at Rowland Hall in 2021. Prior to that, she taught both middle and elementary students in the Compton Unified School District for 14 years focusing primarily on project-based activities and integrating technology into the curriculum. She believes in empowering students with the freedom to explore their imaginations and unleash their creativity. Cheryl holds a BA from UCLA and is currently finishing a master's.
Outside of teaching, Cheryl finds joy in video gaming and sharing her adventures through live streams on Twitch. She also has a penchant for board games, discovering hidden culinary gems in the city, and indulging in suspenseful thriller shows and K-dramas during her leisure time. After relocating to Utah, she has embraced its peaceful atmosphere and explored new hobbies such as gardening and crafting homemade soap and lotion.
