Biography:

Sam graduated from a small independent school outside of Philadelphia, where she was a lifer, starting in PreK and attending through grade 12. She spent one year at Dartmouth College, then transferred and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in art history. After college, Sam lived and worked in Boston, MA. In 2018 she received a master’s degree in special education for kindergarten through eighth grade at Boston University. She then taught various roles as a special education teacher in middle school settings in Massachusetts and New Jersey. Sam has spent the last two years teaching upper elementary math and literacy at Germantown Academy in Pennsylvania. She is especially passionate about working with students in math. Sam relocated to Utah to be closer to family and to live surrounded by running trails and mountains. She is an avid runner who enjoys all things outdoors and is happiest when in nature.
