Faculty & Staff Profile

Lexi graduated from Bates College in 2019, where he wrote his culminating thesis for the English Department on the mythology of the American West in film and literature. During these years, he began working with young learners, leading excursions into the Maine woods for the country's third-largest youth wilderness tripping organization, Kieve Wavus Education. He has since taught at The Leadership School, facilitating social-emotional learning, experiential education, and outdoor stewardship. He has also taught at St. Paul's School for Boys in Lutherville, MD, where he taught seventh-grade English and history classes, radio club, and outdoor appreciation club. When not at school, he spends his time tending to his garden, fishing, trying to keep up with his Australian Shepherd, and skiing at Snowbird. Although the classroom is a close second, Lexi considers himself most at home on a river or in the mountains.
