Faculty & Staff Profile

Jan Middleton became a part of the Rowland Hall community in 2024, bringing extensive experience in international education from her time teaching in South Korea and China. Hailing from the Appalachian foothills of southern Ohio, she holds a bachelor of science in literature and a master of arts in teacher education. As an English teacher with a deep passion for language and literature, Jan is dedicated to creating a welcoming classroom environment where students are empowered to grow as curious, collaborative, caring, creative, and courageous critical thinkers. In her free time, she enjoys diving into novels, going for jogs, and exploring the vibrant surroundings of Salt Lake City with her family.
