Alise Anderson

Titles: 3PreK Lead Teacher
Biography:

Alise is thrilled to be a part of the Rowland Hall community. She holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts from San Francisco Art Institute, with a focus on new genres and sculpture, and she has a child development associate credential. Over the last 10 years, she has taught art to students ranging from three years old to 70 years old. She was a preschool teacher for three years with the Community Cooperative Nature School, teaching primarily in an outdoor all-season classroom setting.

In addition to teaching little humans, Alise is a working artist. She has exhibited in group and solo shows since 2017, and has participated in many residences all over the country, including the most recent at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. She loves opportunities to connect young children to art and has created community-based art projects and installations, with a focus on young artists, around Salt Lake.

Alise loves to spend time outdoors on land and on water. You might run into her on a local trail with her girlfriend and their two dogs, Leonard and Frank.
