Faculty & Staff Profile

Sammie, a New York native, made the bold move to Salt Lake City in the fall of 2023. She possesses both a bachelor's and master's degree in educational studies and childhood education from Colgate University. Her teaching philosophy, rooted in project-based and hands-on learning, promises an engaging classroom environment. Sammie's academic journey also included a focus on anthropology, enriching her understanding of cultural diversity. Sammie was also a member of the women's squash team.

Outside the classroom, Sammie thrives in the outdoors, whether it's snowboarding or hiking. With a camera in hand, she captures the beauty of her adventures, blending her love for photography with her passion for travel and anthropology. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Rooney.
