Biography:

Nicole joined the Rowland Hall community in 2025 as assistant head of Middle School. She brings over a decade of experience with middle school students. Nicole graduated from Duquesne University with a BA in classical civilizations and earned an MEd in teaching Latin from Boston College. Wanting to continue to make an impact in school communities, Nicole also completed an MEd in independent school leadership from Vanderbilt University. Before coming to Rowland Hall, Nicole was teaching Latin at Belmont Day School, where she also served as the seventh-grade team lead and co-led the school’s accreditation self-study. In addition to her work in the classroom, Nicole also has experience leading curriculum reviews, facilitated faculty collaboration on articulating discipline-specific portrait of a graduate goals, and supported the refinement of standards alignment across grade levels. Nicole is a collaborative leader who values student voice, teacher partnerships, and a joyful, inclusive community. She brings a deep love of the transformative experience of middle school. She centers her work on building relationships with students and families, creating strong academic partnerships, and encouraging curiosity and leadership from her students. Nicole enjoys reading and traveling, and, as a recent transplant to Salt Lake City, is excited to explore the mountains with her dog, Beru.
