Biography:

Dr. Samantha Edwards earned her PhD in Spanish history from the University of Cambridge, specializing in the Spanish Civil War and its media representations. She has taught at both the University of Cambridge and the University of Utah, and brings extensive international experience to her new role, most recently teaching history, literature, and politics in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Beyond the classroom, she has supported extracurricular initiatives such as Model United Nations and the John Locke Institute Global Essay Competition, in addition to mentoring students on a wide range of academic projects. Her research has appeared in publications such as Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly and Emergents. Originally from Utah, she is glad to be back in Salt Lake City as part of the Rowland Hall community.
