Cliff Caldwell is a seasoned law enforcement professional with over 15 years of experience. Cliff started his career with the Indiana State Police and is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Cliff holds a Tier 1 Peace Officer Certification, issued by the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board. Cliff is also a Certified School Resource Officer through the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), and served as a commissioner for the Lake County, IN, Safe School Commission (2019–2025). In 2022, Cliff was appointed by the state of Indiana to the position of director of security services for the Gary, IN, Community School Corporation, where he had a strong focus on school safety, threat prevention, and community protection. Cliff joined Rowland Hall in February 2026 as the director of safety and security. With his extensive experience working in and around educational environments, Cliff is committed to creating safe, secure learning spaces for all Rowland Hall students, staff, and families. Throughout his career, Cliff has emphasized proactive safety strategies, clear communication, and collaborative partnerships between law enforcement, school administrators, and the community. Cliff is known for his calm leadership, situational awareness, and ability to respond effectively to complex and high-pressure situations. At Rowland Hall, Cliff continues to advocate for practical, preventative approaches to school safety while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and community trust.
