Biography:

Diane has been a member of the Rowland Hall community since 1993, when she began working as the Upper School’s emotional support counselor. She continued in this position for 25 years. Diane has also been teaching AP Psychology at Rowland Hall since 1995. Diane holds a BA in psychology from Westminster College and a master’s degree in psychology from Indiana State University. Before beginning her work at Rowland Hall, Diane counseled troubled adolescents in individual, group, and hospital settings in the Midwest. After moving back to Utah, Diane taught introductory psychology and adolescent psychology courses at Westminster College for 10 years. Diane is presently the instructor for our AP Psychology classes. In 2004, the College Board identified our AP Psychology class as the strongest in the world among schools with an enrollment of 350 or less. A native of Utah, Diane enjoys cooking and reading.

Diane was the recipient of the Upper School's 2001 Sumner Family Excellence in Teaching Award.
