Kendra Tomsic
Kendra joined the Rowland Hall faculty in 1991 after teaching at Highland High School, Grand County Middle School, Grand County High School, and the College of Eastern Utah. She received a BS in physical education from Utah State University, where she was class valedictorian. As the school's athletic director, Kendra attained Certified Athletic Administrator status in 1999. The College of Eastern Utah, where she began her collegiate experience, inducted her into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996. In addition to her administrative duties, Kendra is the Upper School head volleyball coach and assistant softball coach. Kendra was elected and served as the 2004–2005 president of the Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (UIAAA), the first woman in Utah history to serve in this capacity. She was named Athletic Director of the Year by the Utah High School Activities Association in 2004–2005, received the State Award of Merit from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators' Association (NIAAA) in 2006, was selected 2007 National Council of Secondary School Athletic Directors Southwest District Athletic Director of the Year, 2007 UIAAA Athletic Director of the Year, was one of eight athletic administrators in the nation to receive a National Federation of State High School Associations Citation Award at the 2007 NIAAA/National Federation of State High School Associations National Conference, and was honored with a national Distinguished Service Award by the NIAAA at the national conference in 2012. She loves golfing and other outdoor recreational activities.
Kendra was the recipient of the Upper School's 1997 Sumner Family Excellence in Teaching Award.
