Bill is a New England native who earned a BA in Spanish and English from the University of Maine as well as varsity letters in wrestling. He worked for seven years teaching multiple levels of Spanish and English at the St. Mark's School in Massachusetts, then returned to school to earn his MA from Dartmouth College. After relocating to Utah in 1997, he started working in Rowland Hall's Upper School as an independent academic coach and became a valued resource for students confronted by a variety of academic challenges. Bill has also worked as a live-in dormitory supervisor and a wrestling, football, and lacrosse coach. He is a passionate backcountry skier, trail runner, and fly-fisher.
Bill was the recipient of the Middle School's 2017 Sumner Family Excellence in Teaching Award.
