Biography:

Carolyn joined the Rowland Hall English Department in August 1999. She teaches AP Literature and Composition and chairs the English Department. Carolyn holds a BA from Davidson College and an MA and a PhD in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a Utah transplant, Carolyn enjoys exploring the state with her husband and three sons.

Carolyn was the recipient of the Upper School's 2000 Sumner Family Excellence in Teaching Award and the 2011 Cary Jones Faculty Mentor Award.
