Lauren is a graduate of Rowland Hall's class of 2001. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master of social work from the University of Utah. Lauren worked in clinical mental health practice as well as school social work for many years before coming to Rowland Hall. She has also taught at the University of Utah College of Social Work as an adjunct professor.

Lauren has two daughters, Mira, born in 2014, and Aria, born in 2016.
