Alan Sparrow Virtual Celebration
Career Highlights
Alan arrived at our school in 1992, deeply committed to excellence in education, and he will leave us with a legacy of leadership that has nurtured our community across generations.
Alan oversaw the development of a more diverse and inclusive student body, the growth of preeminent academic and co-curricular programs, and the construction and renovation of multiple campus facilities, including the opening of the McCarthey Campus in 2002 and the Steiner Athletic Fields in 2014.
As learners, educators, families, alumni, and staff, we’re eternally grateful for his service.

Honor Alan With a Gift
After an extraordinary 28 years at Rowland Hall, Head Learner Alan Sparrow is putting the finishing touches on his career. As a tribute to Alan, we’ve established the Alan C. Sparrow Scholarship.
Gifts received in Alan's honor will establish the Alan C. Sparrow Scholarship, an endowed fund to support students in need of financial aid. Your support will help make a Rowland Hall education a reality for students who may not otherwise be able to attend the school.
