Admission

Both admission and financial aid applications are due by January 31. We also consider applicants throughout the school year for grades where openings exist.

Children must meet class-level age requirements by September 1 of the year they wish to enroll:

• 3PreK: 3 years old
• 4PreK: 4 years old
• Kindergarten: 5 years old

For example, to be eligible for 3PreK for the 2026–2027 school year, a child must turn 3 by September 1, 2026.

Rowland Hall seeks highly motivated students of great promise—students who are creative, compassionate, and eager to collaborate in all pursuits, in and out of the classroom. We are especially interested in young people who are inclined to be of service to others within their communities. The Rowland Hall admission team strives to create a community that is racially, religiously, and socioeconomically diverse; we welcome students from a wide variety of backgrounds with an equally wide set of passions and interests.

Siblings of current students, as well as children of alumni, teachers, and staff, are given special consideration in the admission process but are not guaranteed enrollment.

Yes. A $60 fee is required to apply to Rowland Hall. There is also a $65 fee to apply for financial aid through Clarity, our third-party financial aid software. Fee waivers are available; please email Rebecca Mueller Jones for support.
