Rowland Hall Athletics
Rowland Hall provides a positive, competitive athletic environment that emphasizes leadership, skill development, commitment, respect, accountability, and development of character and self-esteem while enjoying the camaraderie of a team experience.
Rowland Hall’s Upper School is classified as a Division 2A school in Region 17 of the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA). Middle School student-athletes compete in the Wasatch Athletic Conference and can be three-season athletes in boys and girls sports.
Our Upper School Winged Lions have won 29 state championships and 64 region titles since 2007. Added to that are the numerous accolades for individual athletes; the 2017-2018 2A Directors Cup for success in sportsmanship, academics, and state tournaments; the UHSAA Sportsmanship Award; numerous Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (UIAAA) Highest Team GPA awards; and the Deseret News All-Sports Award winner as the 2A school with the most state championships in 2007-2008. Rowland Hall typically places in the top five for the 2A All-Sports Award.
In the Middle School, team philosophy, drills, and game strategy are guided by the Upper School Varsity coaches, creating a streamlined athletics program for grades six through twelve. Rowland Hall is proud of an athletics program that welcomes players of all abilities, yet consistently wins league and tournament titles each year.
