Girls Basketball

Play Smart, Play Strong, and Play Together.

Rowland Hall’s girls basketball program is built on the honorable pursuit of excellence and provides a valuable learning experience—in athletics and in life.

Our dedicated coaching staff builds a strong foundation through disciplined practice and teamwork, encouraging team members to strive for the team creed: “Victory with Honor, Sacrifice for Team, and Pride in Self and School.”

Beyond technical fundamentals, we emphasize critical, lifelong values like leadership, integrity, and resilience, empowering athletes to handle challenges both on the court and in the classroom. We believe that a rewarding program is found in the vital lessons learned from competition, rather than just the outcome. As a result, our players are part of a powerful, lifelong sisterhood that emphasizes living with honor and making a positive impact.

Winged Lion Legacy

As the oldest athletic team in Rowland Hall's 155-plus-year history, hundreds of young women have passed through our girls basketball program. The first recorded instance of girls basketball at the school dates to approximately 1906, when girls were photographed playing the sport on campus.
