Girls Golf

A Drive for Distinction

Rowland Hall’s girls golf program is defined by unrivaled success and a competitive spirit that thrives through every season. Since girls golf was sanctioned as an interscholastic sport in 2008, the team has secured an exceptional record: 10 regional and six state championships—the most of any team in the 2A Region.

This dominance is built on a foundation of professional training. Our athletes are mentored by a fantastic coaching staff of PGA professionals and former top players who teach advanced strategy and the competitive mindset. Players learn not just how to hit like the pros, but also how to prepare themselves mentally and physically for high-level competition.

For our golfers, this commitment extends beyond the course. We stress that academic excellence is necessary for peak athletic performance. Through this challenging, balanced approach, Rowland Hall golfers graduate as well-rounded, strong women who are ready to take on the world.

Meet Our Alums

Even prior to Rowland Hall's girls golf team being formed, Rowland Hall was graduating top-tier golfers who went on to play at the next level. As the winningest girls golf program in our division, it's no surprise that our athletes' success has led them to play beyond Rowland Hall.

Winged Lion Legacy

While girls at Rowland Hall have practiced and played golf since the early 1900s, it took over a century for girls golf to become a sanctioned sport in Utah. Rowland Hall formed our first girls golf team a year after the Utah High School Activities Association added the sport to its interscholastic programming in 2008. Prior to that time, girls who wanted to participate in golf played on the boys team, where they were recognized as team captains and All-State athletes.
