Ultimate Frisbee

From Club to Competition

Rowland Hall’s Ultimate Frisbee team has quickly made its mark since becoming an official interscholastic sport in 2023. The team is highly competitive, competing against other programs in a club league run by the Utah Ultimate Disc Association. Players are committed to high-level strategy, practicing behind the Upper School and watching film to master advanced techniques, formations, and game strategies.

This competitive spirit has deep roots. The program, first played on campus in 2006, evolved from casual games in the backfield with Upper School English teacher Joel Long to an official Frisbee Club in 2014. This dedication and passion ultimately led to the program taking the ultimate leap when it earned its designation as a full interscholastic sport.
