Horizons at Rowland Hall

Overview

Horizons at Rowland Hall is part of the Horizons National program network. The first affiliate site in Utah, this six-week summer camp experience is designed to support public school students in Title I schools to help mitigate their math and literacy loss from one school year to the next. We launched Horizons at Rowland Hall in summer 2025, with a cohort of rising second graders from Liberty and Whittier elementary schools.

Students in the program will have daily instruction in math and literacy, swim classes, and other enrichment activities and opportunities to create a fun camp environment. Horizons staff will also administer a pre- and post-assessment to help track students’ progress throughout the summer program and to share back with their schools to set them up for a successful next school year. Our goal is to grow this program every year with more cohorts of students in grades 1–8.

Horizons at Rowland Hall partners with schools, families, and community partners to create a dynamic opportunity for public school students to learn and thrive together during the summer months. Register your student today!
