Rowland Hall Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is money raised through donations for the school’s current-year operating expenses. Rowland Hall raises money through the Annual Fund each year to help make up the difference between what tuition covers and the actual cost of running the school.  

The Annual Fund provides the critical difference between what is ordinary and what is extraordinary about the Rowland Hall experience, and it touches all aspects of school life—from the classrooms to the library, from technology to the playground, from our debate program to jazz band, and from the stage to the athletic fields.

A gift is a donation now. A pledge is your commitment to donating by June 30—the last day of our fiscal year.

We aim for 100% participation from everyone in the Rowland Hall community. High participation is a vote of confidence, a sign that the community is dedicated and supports the school’s mission. The percentage of participation can also have an impact on gifts from outside sources; most foundations consider participation rates before agreeing to donate funds to a school.

We offer several convenient ways to give, and all contributions to the Annual Fund are 100% tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Yes. When you send your contribution, be sure to let us know that you would like it to be anonymous and we will be happy to honor your request.

All giving is personal; we leave it to the giver’s discretion to determine the amount appropriate for them.

Yes. Gifts of long-term appreciated stock or mutual funds are an easy and tax-efficient way to give to Rowland Hall. In order to secure the benefits of giving a gift of stock, you must have owned the securities for more than one year.

If your broker (or bank) holds your securities, your gift can be electronically transferred to our broker. Donors who wish to transfer stock should contact Director of Institutional Advancement Robyn Jensen or call her at 801-924-2961 to request our broker information.

Donor Advised funds

Rowland Hall gratefully accepts grants from Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) in support of our mission. DAFs can provide you with immediate tax benefits while making your charitable giving easier. We receive gifts from many of the largest DAF sponsor organizations including Fidelity, Schwab, Bank of America, Vanguard, and Morgan Stanley.
