Academy Program

GRADES 9–12+

As the first organization in the state to combine world-class ski training with rigorous academics, Rowmark Ski Academy has truly defined excellence in athlete development.

Serving students in grades 9–12, as well as postgraduates, the Academy program focuses on the complete student-athlete, building a strong foundation in academics, athletics, and character. By preparing athletes for success on and off the race course, we foster the personal growth, resilience, and independence they need for any path that lies ahead.

High-Level Training

U18 Rowmarkers compete at FIS-level races under US Ski & Snowboard, and U16 athletes race in its Intermountain Division. Athletes are supported by a year-round training program designed for peak performance, and every season is structured to maximize time on the mountain.

Racers train over the summer, and off-season camps are held in June, August, October, and November. Team conditioning begins in late April, and local on-snow training starts in November. During the race season (December through March), academics adjust to allow dedicated afternoon training, giving athletes the best balance of school and sport.

A Top Academic Experience

Each Rowmarker has an individualized course of study that supports their academic and educational goals. Schedules are created in collaboration with families, Rowmark’s program director, and Rowland Hall’s Upper School leadership. Athletes benefit from the same exceptional resources available to all Rowland Hall students, including dedicated faculty, academic support specialists, and college counselors.

Rowmark's college placement is outstanding: 100% of Rowmarkers are accepted into four-year colleges and universities. Most continue their racing careers at NCAA ski-racing powerhouses such as Dartmouth College, University of Colorado, Harvard University, University of Utah, University of Denver, University of Vermont, and Montana State University.
