Rowmark Coach Profile

Lyndsay Strange

Lyndsay Strange

Titles: Rowmark Ski Academy FIS Coach, Academic Liaison

Lyndsay has been a U.S. Ski and Snowboard-certified alpine coach for nine years, moving from the East Coast to Vail, Colorado, and then Utah, where she has headed up the Academy Prep U14s and coached the women’s FIS group for three years at Rowmark. She has recently gained accolades by coaching former U.S. Ski Team athlete turned Team Mexico athlete, Sarah Schleper, in all events at the 2017 FIS Alpine World Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland. She then went on to coach Schleper and Team Mexico at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. She also owns and operates Party Beach Ski Camps, a blended alpine ski race and freeride/big mountain camp held on Mt. Hood, Oregon, each summer since 2016. Lyndsay’s rich experience and incredible ability to connect with kids has generated a positive reputation among her colleagues and pupils. Her hometown newspaper, The Post Star, profiled her leading into the 2018 Olympics: “Strange never envisioned becoming an Olympic coach, but she credits her opportunistic approach to life for putting her on the world stage, and she is right.”
