Rowmark Coach Profile
Foreste is from Berkeley, California. She grew up skiing at Squaw Valley and was a member of their ski team. She was named to the U.S. Ski Team at age 16 and represented the country at European Cups, Nor-Am Cups, New Zealand/Australian Cups, and World Junior Championships for four years.
Foreste attended Dartmouth College, where she raced for their Division 1 NCAA team and received her BA in environmental studies and geography. As the Dartmouth Women’s Alpine Team captain, she helped the Big Green win multiple Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association championships, earned All-American honors, placed third in the Nor-Am Cup GS standings her junior year, and received the 2017 Dartmouth Female Athlete of the Year award. In her senior year, she achieved a childhood dream of racing in her first-ever World Cup competitions in Soelden, Austria, and Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
Upon graduating, Foreste was invited to join the elite private women’s team—Team X Alpine—and proudly represented them for two years. As a Team X athlete, she qualified to race in the 2018 and 2019 Killington World Cups, and won her first-ever Nor-Am races in GS, slalom, and parallel slalom.
Now that she is retired from the competitive side of the sport, Foreste is back in school pursuing her master's in exercise science, seeking dual concentrations in sports performance training and strength and conditioning through Concordia University-Chicago’s online graduate program.
Foreste is looking forward to her second year coaching at Rowmark, as she seeks to leverage her knowledge and experience as a longtime elite athlete and give back to the up-and-coming generation of ski racers.
