Biography:

Fritz grew up skiing for the Snowbird Race Team beginning in the early 1980s and went on to ski for the University of Nevada, Reno. He moved to Bozeman, Montana, in 1995 to begin his coaching career as the J3 (now U16) Head Coach at Big Sky, a position he held until 2000. From 2001 to 2007, Fritz served as the Alpine Program Director and Head Coach for the Bridger Ski Foundation.

After several years in Montana, Fritz returned home to Snowbird, where he led the J3/U16 program through the end of the 2024 season. Over the years, he has coached at countless Western Region projects and has made a lasting impact on developing athletes across all levels.

Fritz holds a Level 300 USSS Coaching Certification and is also a Level 4 Referee, Chief of Race, and Chief of Course.

When he’s not in ski boots, Fritz can often be found exploring the canyons of southern Utah or adventuring in mountain ranges around the world.
