Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month recognizes and honors the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of Native people across Turtle Island, or North America. Native American Heritage Month provides an opportunity to learn about tribes, to raise awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and to celebrate their resistance against these challenges.

Native American Heritage Month is formally recognized annually in November, and our librarians have curated a set of books on both campuses for our community to engage with to learn about the richness of Native American communities and histories. Check out the photos and list of books!
