Rowland Hall is thrilled to welcome students and families to the 2025–2026 school year.

As you spend time on our campuses in the following weeks, you’ll get to know the newest additions to our faculty and staff, as well as see some of our returning team members in new or expanded roles. For your reference, we’ve listed these staffing changes below. (Please see Fond Farewells 2025 for a list of those not returning this school year.)

Note: Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, our principals and assistant principals will be known as heads or assistant heads of their divisions—same trusted leadership, just new titles.

New Beginning School Faculty

  • Ashley Catmull joins Rowland Hall as a 4PreK assistant teacher, working alongside Mara Kushner.

Beginning School Role Changes

  • Brittney Hansen, formerly Beginning School and Lower School assistant principal, is now assistant head of school for academics.

Lower School

New Lower School Faculty

Lower School Role Changes and Expansions

  • Brittney Hansen, formerly Beginning School and Lower School assistant principal, is now assistant head of school for academics.
  • Hannah Ruske, formerly a third-grade teacher, is now a fourth-grade teacher as well as the Lower School divisional equity coordinator.
  • Jayme Young, formerly a Lower School substitute teacher, is now a fourth-grade teacher.

Middle School

New Middle School Faculty and Staff

  • Dr. J Dianne Brederson joins Rowland Hall as head of Middle School.
  • Nicole Buck joins Rowland Hall as assistant head of Middle School.
  • Taylor Ouzts joins Rowland Hall as Middle School and Upper School choir teacher.
  • Maike Wells joins Rowland Hall as a Middle School and Upper School visual arts teacher and a sixth-grade advisor.

  • Sam Thomas ’16, Middle School French and Spanish teacher, is now also the Middle School divisional equity coordinator.

Upper School

  • Lauren Domagas joins Rowland Hall as Upper School receptionist.
  • Dr. Samantha Edwards joins Rowland Hall as an Upper School English teacher.
  • Shannon Foy joins Rowland Hall as the Upper School learning specialist.
  • Taylor Ouzts joins Rowland Hall as Middle School and Upper School choir teacher.
  • Natosha Washington joins Rowland Hall as assistant head of Upper School.
  • Maike Wells joins Rowland Hall as the Middle School and Upper School visual arts teacher.
